See What's New at the Clarke Museum ... Virtually

Posted By on Sun, May 31, 2020 at 5:14 PM

The Clarke Museum is closed due to COVID-19, but lovers of local stories, artifacts and history can still step inside the museum virtually. Visitors to the museum's website can explore the museum's permanent collections and current exhibits  such as — “Immigration Expulsion Homecoming: The Legacy of the Chinese Expulsion in Humboldt County” in the Main Hall and “Women's Ceremonial Dresses: From Long Ago to Today” and “When Designs Escaped Baskets” in Nealis Hall — through photos and descriptions. The website also has new digital content such as live Q+As with curators, virtual tours, Ask the Curator and Behind the Scenes looks with museum staff and volunteers.

Since the museum is closed to the public, its stewards are asking those who enjoy the museum’s online content to send a few dollars the museum’s way or, better yet, become a member. There are links to both options on the website. Visit www.clarkemuseum.org for more information.
