CHP Arrests Two Homicide Suspects Near Willow Creek

California Highway Patrol officers arrested two suspects in an Oregon homicide this morning east of Willow Creek.

According to the CHP, an officer on patrol recognized one of two vehicles from a be-on-the-lookout broadcast from the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office regarding the homicides suspects and began following it on State Route 299 east of Willow Creek. The officer called for backup and when additional units arrived, conducted a traffic stop and took 42-year-old Jeremy Milton Lacy into custody without incident. While on scene, the second suspect from the advisory — Eileen Gay Lacy, 51, arrived on scene and was also taken into custody.

Both were confirmed to have active homicide warrants out of Oregon and were booked into the Humboldt County jail.

Additional details about the pair and the homicide they are accused of were not immediately available.
