Angels of Hope, located in the 5,000-square-foot warehouse on 10th Street in Arcata, was the runaway winner in this category. (“Angles of Hope” did pretty well, too.) Founded in 2006 by Rose Baker and Lisa Callahan, the store not only offers mountains of gently used clothing at bargain prices, it also serves as a job-training site for local at-risk youth, with all proceeds going to YouthAbility, a nonprofit that helps disadvantaged young people achieve independence through employment and education.

St. Vincent de Paul, Shipwreck and Little Shop of Hers also made strong showings.

Most resourceful answer: “Various trashcans around town.”

 Oookay?: “Safeway.”

 -- Ryan Burns

The Breakdown: Angels of Hope 15.9%, St. Vincent de Paul 8.5%, Shipwreck 7.7%, Little Shop of Hers 6.7%, Miranda’s Rescue 6.0%, Voter Turnout: 17th.
