I was about 6 months old during the 64 flood and my parents and grandparents along with my two older sisters lived in Fortuna. My father, Ed Worley helped rebuild bridges after this flood. Now gone, my father will always be part of the hero list of the devastation mother nature put upon Humboldt and other counties.
I want to say thank you for such a beautiful history lesson and to all those heroes during the flood that raised the farm coastal lands.
