Alan Peterson and Talia Rose will open their July photography show, "Watersheds and Wetlands of the Redwood Coast” with a reception from 6 - 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 1 at the F Street Foto Gallery (above Swanlund's Camera) in Eureka as part of Arts Alive!.
"Watersheds and Wetlands of the Redwood Coast" is a collection of moments from the lives of the animals that these two photographers have come to know through countless hours in the field within the unique habitats of California’s north coast. Peterson and Rose have spent years documenting the wildlife that thrives here, from the tiniest hummingbirds to the imposing Bald Eagles. While the two photographers live on opposite sides of Humboldt County, they share an affinity for raptors, otters and other wetland creatures. They have long been fans of each other’s work, and have combined their efforts to share the highlights of their photography.
