Climb Out of the Darkness Humboldt County

Humboldt County will participate in the Postpartum Support International Climb Out of the Darkness event this year for the first time ever. We aim to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and create community around perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. This year we will offer a hybrid hike to raise awareness and build community. You can sign up for one of four hike pods across the county (which will have no more than 10 people and will allow for social distancing), Or you can join us by creating your own pod and posting photos the day of the event. Organized hiking pods will have a group leader to meet the pod and provide participants with information about resources. We anticipate hosting hiking pods at Sequoia Park in Eureka, Rhoner Park in Fortuna, and Redwood Park in Arcata. A Spanish speaking hiking pod will be offered at Sequoia Park in Eureka.
