UPDATE:

According to an evening update from Cal Fire Battalion Chief Paul Savona, forward progress on the fire has been stopped and no structures were lost but โ€œdue to heavy fuels and mop up, crews will be working in the area throughout the day tomorrow.โ€

About 4 p.m., Cal Fire received a report of smoke off of Mattole Road north of A. W. Way County Park, confirmed Battalion Chief Paul Savona.
