Two weeks without a letter to the editor, but this following three weeks of nothing but Christmas ads and rehashing of old stories from 2010 — not a surprise. Fortunately, “A Cannabis Carol” (Dec. 23) will fire up some readers to send in their thoughts. It’s like Pavlov’s dog, poke ‘em a little and listen to them bark (and drool).
Thankfully, we (and our “leaders”) won’t bother to ask ourselves if we can shop ourselves out of a recession. Just give me my pop culture fix and let me know where the bargains are located. I don’t have time to think about endless war, record unemployment, sliding home prices, creeping inflation, nor a societal infrastructure which is suffering from substantial deferred maintenance.
