(Dec. 23, 2010) ’Twas two months after harvest, when on sites by the Coast,
Gathered hundreds, nay thousands, who loved marijuana the most.
The buds had been taken from trimmers with care,
In hopes that a cannabis cup soon would be theirs.
The growers were nestled all snug in warm threads
While visions of winning danced in their heads.
And my friend in her brown hat and I, without cap,
Had just got in my car and looked at our map.

how are they determining THC and CBD content???
Comment / By kym / Dec. 24, 2010, 9:46 a.m.
I was told but not by Tim that they send the samples out for testing at a lab. I understand that one of the samples had an incredibly high CBD rating. As CBD tends to relate to medicinal value, this may lead to the North Coast being a leader in medical strains.

All you hemp fanatics happy? You’ve got yourselves entrenched into the culture to the point where we have contests to see what “mix” makes us most irresponsible, the biggest threat on the highway, sorriest worker on the job…etc. Deal with reality, not marijuana. Do you really want to establish an environment for your kids to more conveniently grow aimless in life?

I suppose ignorance is bliss, isn’t it Tim? I am a proud entrepreneur and smoker. I’ve been smoking on a daily basis for a decade. I haven’t been in a single car accident in that time nor had any infractions, and I drive 15,000 miles a year, and live in a busy city with one of the worst rush hours in the country. My bottom line is tied directly to how hard I work being an entrepreneur, so I have a much harder work ethic than most Americans who settle in with a faceless company and accept mediocrity. Tim, what gives you the right to stereotype people who smoke marijuana when you have never tried it? According to the US Dept. of Health and Human Services, as of 2009, 41% of Americans admitted to smoking marijuana in their lifetime. That means that almost half the people you know publicly admit that they smoke marijuana or have before, and here you are calling them all the scum of society and backing yourself up with a bunch of baseless propaganda that some other idiot made up and you believed. Great work, Tim, way to think for yourself; your kids are either going to grow up to become ignorant idiots like yourself, or they’re going to hate you.

@Chris: Weed doesn’t make you too stupid, but that doesn’t mean you’re any smarter either. I’m not stereotyping people who smoke marijuana, I’m basing my opinion on observations of a lifetime - the stoners who came into their work shift reeking of smoke and not doing their work, the kids who went astray and lacked motivation to accomplish anything meaningful in life, police logs I’ve read, etc. It doesn’t make you a “successful entrepreneur” just because you’ve made drug profits trafficking weed. If you want to earn my respect as a “successful entrepreneur” you better do it in a legal manner that benefits society - not puts it in a drug induced haze. Calling you a “successful” entrepreneur is like terming Charley Sheen a successful actor….Tiger Woods a successful golfer… I can’t fully explain to you my doper friend how “secure” I feel sharing the road with ya’ll drug users and drunks - risking my life and the lives of my loved ones. It’s not a “harder” work ethic you ascribe to Tokin’ Chris, it’s a riskier, illegal, health deteriorating, society endangering lifestyle that has distorted your perceptions of right and wrong; legal and illegal; smart or stupid.

Some of you need to……shaddaap and SMOKABOWL. Drink your daily coffee or whatever gives you that perky pep pop poop that makes you so much more wise to the ways of the world than those of us who can handle marijuana.

check out bbc radio, jagger’s picks, LOLA is playing. god love us! the world is a great place, and pot smokers have been studied and found to be careful drivers. High CBD content mj is great for severe pain, from osteoarthritis etc, and does not make you woozy, drowsy, unfocused etc. Unless your metabolism is different from mine.

The Journal should be commended for printing controversial articles. flak attacks to be expected A bookstore in Ukiah was selling tickets for the Harvest Fest and a threatening call made them stop. The complainer said they would boycott the bookstore for being involved in mj related activities. how do you like them apples?
