Steam curls up

Reaching for the ceiling

And disappears,

Spiraling above the porcelain

That drains me daily.

Someday soon,

I will spend the winter

Where steam is a memory

And water spins counter-clockwise

In a myth I refuse to relinquish.

When I finally let go,

I will never return.
