Winfred Grissom, former Humboldt Bay Maritime Museum docent who was a popular figure around Old Town Eureka, has died of COVID-19, the Lost Coast Outpost reports. He was 91.
According to LoCo’s story, Grissom is one of the four Alder Bay Assisted living residents who has died of the disease amid an outbreak there that has seen seven staff members and seven residents contract the virus. Public Health reported yesterday, though, that the facility hasn’t seen a new positive case in 10 days.
