Multiple law enforcement agencies are searching for a suspect who fled from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department near Hoopa this morning. At one point, according to the scanner, the suspect fled into and later out of water in an attempt to escape.
As of 12:20 p.m., the suspect is still being sought.
According to Samantha Karges, spokesperson for the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department, “Deputies are pursuing a felony warrant suspect who fled from them on foot from the Vista Point area in Hoopa. CHP and Hoopa Tribal Police have been requested to assist.”
