Local Democratic party officials voiced concerns about the state of the nation and what they see as President Donald Trump’s role in stoking division following Tuesday’s now notorious debate between Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden, the Times-Standard reports.

The Republic party chair declined to comment for the story, including when asked whether the local chapter condemned white supremacy and supported a peaceful transition of power, the article states.

Trump faced backlash, including from members of his own party, for not condemning the far-right hate group Proud Boys during the debate and saying they should “stand back and stand by.”

Meanwhile, the Commission on Presidential Debates released a statement on Wednesday stating that the “debate made clear that additional structure should be added to the format of the remaining debates to ensure a more orderly discussion of the issues.”

  1. I am thrilled with your new usage, regardless of how it has come about.

“What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.”

  2. Not wanting their fan club to know what they believe in is all the GOP has had left for years. And this guy is a breathe of fresh air in that rather than lie he essentially pleads the Fifth.

  3. Considering the official Humboldt Republicans page has a massive column in their links section promoting Breitbart – you know, the alt-right site that has promoted white nationalism among other things – you need look no further to see where the right-wingers of Humboldt stand. Be wary, and don’t be afraid to rip down any blue lives matter flags you might see waving around.

  4. They are fucking racists and fascist and, as such, are anti-American TRAITORS. Of course they won’t answer those questions because if they answered honestly, they would have to publicly state that they are white supremacists and fascists who don’t respect the U.S. Constitution or the laws of the USA. They think they are patriots supporting a puppet of Putin’s Russia. They are just too fucking ignorant and stupid to make good decisions affecting their communities (or their own lives, for that matter).
