The Kinetic Grand Championship is in full swing, with racers braving blustery conditions to traverse sand, water and asphalt, all for the glory.
Local photographer Mark McKenna was on scene for yesterday’s kickoff, from the revelry of the plaza and the dangers of Dead Man’s Drop, all the way to Halvorsen Park, where the race’s first leg came to a close. Where is your coverage of the finale on day 3? As a “glorious spectator,” I drove 300 miles to follow the race from all the best vantage points and have enjoyed your coverage of the first two days, and I am looking for your reportage and photos of the end of the race.
Whoah! That’s a totally fun event! Wish we could catch this event next time. Bet my eldest son would love to ride that kind of ride. I got an old bike frame here that I could turn into a cart. I’ll just finish installing the brake kit and mud tires I ordered from 4WheelOnline on the truck then I’ll start that project.
