Protesters march through McKinleyville. Credit: Mark McKenna

Several hundred protesters marched from an empty lot at the corner of Central Avenue and Pickett Road in McKinleyville to Pierson Park Thursday afternoon.
The protest came as a wave of Black Lives Matter protests that emerged throughout the U.S. after the killing of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer on May 25.

  1. Both T-S and NCJ neglected to mention the woman that ran a red light to drive into a group of the peaceful protestors as they crossed the street. What gives?

  2. FYI It’s covered on LoCO about three articles in on their top scroll of events.
