Coast Guard Sector Humboldt Bay helicopters will fly over Mad River Community Hospital and St. Joseph Hospital today at 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively, to honor their employees and others working to keep the community safe during the COVID-19 outbreak.
The Coasties are asking members of the public to also do their part by not gathering in groups during the event and to maintain the social distancing that helps all of the workers continue to do their jobs.
