All corrupt political systems require an absolute majority of team players. No expense is spared to that end.
Bonino’s loss means that there will be ONE unacceptable witness, (Linda Atkins), to the continuing charade that Eureka government represents its people, not the development community.
Atkins reelection against the most powerful political machine in this county, could inspire more dissent from others who oppose right-wing consolidation. And the possibility that more opponents will dare to run for office.
Thus, all dissent is feared by the benefactors of corruption shown in the photo above.
