How sweet to see one of my favorite poets (Susan Pahl) writing about one of my favorite librarians (Susan Parsons) — “There Is a Story,” June 4, 2026.
Susan Parsons: Thank you for all your years of love and service at the Arcata library. You have made that space a lively, loving place, and all of us explorers are better for it.
Susan Pahl: Thank you for letting your shy words bound into all our eyes. Susan Parsons is hard to pin down in just a few lines, but your lovely words help me hold her close.
I cherish the breeze each of you brings to our community.
