Seems everyone is jumping on the Shannon Miranda is a terrible guy bandwagon. I don’t claim to know all the details of the current allegations, or even whether they are true or not, or, if so, what kind of justification was used. Sometimes hard decisions have to be made when running a nonprofit business such as a charitable rescue mission. Unfortunately, it does take money to feed and house hundreds of rescued animals.
What I do know is how many animals Mr. Miranda has sheltered and saved over the many years he has been running his operation. We got two wonderful animals from Miranda’s Rescue, my oh such a good buddy, Bodhi, who was rescued as a puppy from a shipping container in the Hoopa Valley, and Daisy Mae, a sophisticated and garrulous dilute who was a real cool cat, as cool as they come. They are both gone now, after 15 years of being an integral part of our lives and family. They would not have been such an important part of our lives without Shannon Miranda.
I can understand how people feel a trust has been broken, but do they really know the whole story? And where is the gratitude for all the good Shannon Miranda has done over the years? The lynch mob seems a bit sanctimonious to me.
