My spouse, Susan McGee, and I have been residents of Eureka for the past eight years and are European-Americans. We are deeply disappointed in our city for deciding not to apologize to the Wiyot people (“Fumbled Apology,” March 27).
As a family, we want to tell the Wiyot people how deeply sorry we are for the horrifying massacre of 1860. We offer you our formal apology.
