Our leftist Congressmember Huffman had his town hall in Eureka on Sunday (“The Peril of this Moment,” April 3). His TDS (Trump derangement syndrome) was on full display: Trump, Trump, Trump is all he wanted to talk about. He described President Trump as a dictator and authoritarian. He added his disdain for the billionaire class that doesn’t talk to him but does talk to Barron Trump. Jared Huffman has described President Trump’s words and actions as “Reichstag” moments. Huffman’s descriptions of Americans he despises includes “White Christian Nationalists.”
It’s no wonder why “billionaires” don’t want to talk to Jared. We deserve a better member of congress as our representative.

You mean you’d like a congressman who would vote to cut more than 800 Billion Dollars from medicare and Medicaid in order to pay for cuts to the top 1 per cent of wealthy individuals in our country? There’s plenty of adjectives to describe your stance but they are not acceptable in polite company.
Huffman is doing a great job. He’s smart, works hard and tells it like it is.
Jared Huffman is worried about our country.
He mentioned Trump a lot because, obviously, Trump is responsible for discarding the rule of law and trashing the economy, and abusing his authority to punish people who have told the truth about him.
If people don’t start looking at things with a little more clarity before the government falls apart, we could lose our country, imperfect and wonderful, to real tyranny, and it could take decades to root out the evil lying folks who will have led us there.
Unfortunately as always with Trump, it is really all about the massive grift.
What a waste.
Huffman does pretty good job for us locally, he’s an atheist (hurrah, see how smart?), gets FED money spent here BUT….he STILL SUPPORTS SENDING BOMBS/MONEY (OUR TAX MONEY) TO THE LYING, MURDEROUS, THIEVING, WARMONGERS, STILL LYING, GENOCIDE LOVING ISRAELI’S……so, there’s that.
Some things I’ll ignore or acquiesce but THE USA SPONSORED SLAUGHTER OF CIVILIANS OR ANYONE IS A DEAL BREAKER FOR ME.
BESIDES, HOLDING UP STOOOPID PADDLE SIGNS INSTEAD OF WALKING OUT OF CONGRESS WITH THE ONLY MEMBER WITH ANY GUTS AND COMMITMENT WAS KICKED OUT OF CHAMBERS…..HELL NO……EITHER TAKE THE BATTLES TO THEM OR GET OUT OF THE WAY.
DEMOCRAPS ARE GIVING OUR COUNTRY TO THE FASCISTS AND BASICALLY SAYING…..PLEASE, CAN WE HAVE A FEW5 CRUMBS?………
The room Representative Huffman spoke in was packed to standing room only with hundreds of his constituents anxious to hear about what the representative is doing to try to curb the most damaging aspects of the current administration. Every question asked of the representative related to what he is doing and what we can do to protect our community and the world from the federal overreach threatening our safety. The only opposition Representative Huffman faced at the event was from people anxious and angry about the ongoing decimation of Gaza. If the representative had not talked about the Trump Administration, it would have been a pointless event that did nothing to address the concerns his constituents expected him to discuss.
