As the rollout of details about this month’s virtual Oyster Fest continues, Arcata Main Street has unveiled its kits for celebrating at home. The at-home festival packages are available for pre-order through the organization’s website for $140-$160. They include beer, wine or cider from local purveyors Eel River Brewing Co., Mad River Brewing Co., Gyppo Ale Mill, and Six Rivers Brewery, along with festival swag and, of course, two dozen oysters.
Shells shucked and beverages decanted into commemorative cups, you can then cue up the Arcata Bay Oyster Festival YouTube channel and slurp away as you learn about the harvesting of oysters, check out brewery backstories, hear local music and see who won Best Oyster this year.
