We’re still recovering from our North Coast Journal Best of Humboldt party on Saturday. How about you? There was a line around the block from the historic Carson Block Building, where the third floor, once the home of a stately theater, filled up with revelers celebrating the winners (voted on by our readers) in our Best of Humboldt issue.
Dr. Squid, last year’s Best Band, played for a crowd of more than 500 throughout the night, right until the lights went out. In between a few raffles, guests nibbled on appetizers from among 17 food and drink winners. But before they hit the Besties party proper, plenty of them stopped to strike a pose on the red carpet with their own besties. Enjoy this slideshow from the scene on the sidewalk.
