In case you slept through the inaugural “Weed Wednesday,” below you can watch the entirety of the first episode of the Discovery Channel’s “Weed Country” which chronicles the battles between marijuana growers and law enforcement in the Emerald Triangle.

Woot.

(Note: “Weed Wednesday” ended up being 50 percent less weedy than initially scheduled. The debut of “Pot Cops” has been pushed back to April after “Weed Country” concludes its six episode run. Attention spans across the Triangle applaud.)

Also, if you happen to notice anything super lame about the episode — oh, the super dramatic build to a grower NOT getting pulled over stands out — let us know!

  1. This is an “also-ran” documentary that’s already been done numerous times. Maybe after the first episode, it will offer some new insights but that’s not the case with the first episode.

  2. I suffered through this show. Horrible. So wrong. The show does not even qualify as a basic overview for those uninformed on the complexities of the issues. Discovery Channel exploited the cash-strapped county sheriffs. Not to mention the gratuitous use of sex in the useless appearance of the hot girlfriend of the arrested dispensary owner from Vallejo. Sad. Bad. Fraud.

  3. The biggest fuck up had to be that so called growers were letting themselves be on TV. Yeah, that’s believable. And their grow ops are on film too. Whatever floats the boats of the general public, I guess. Oh and the fact that shreriff Gung Ho there was saying weed is more destructive than alchohol is just ramblings of a lunatic. And I do believe it was the same idiot who also said weed was gonna be the down fall of the US. Wake the fuck up!! Your country is already in down fall mode, and it wasn’t weed growers who did it. It was your lame ass financial system that put your country into the pit it’s in. Aside from all the bullshit, the show still fucking sucks. God damn reallity TV.
