The Times-Standard reports that Eureka City Schools is staring down an estimated $2.5 million to $3 million funding gap without federal assistance due to the governor’s deep cuts to the state budget amid the COVID-19 economic downturn.
The news came during a board of trustees meeting today, which included comments from parents asking the district to spare arts and theater programs. No decisions on cuts were made at the meeting.
