The California Highway Patrol confirmed this morning that 43-year-old Timothy Good died after being struck by a vehicle while walking on North Bank Road near the intersection of State Route 299. Good was on the east edge of roadway, walking north at around 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 24 when he was struck by a 2012 Toyota Corolla driven by Dena Lara, 33, who was traveling south.
Good was transported to Mad River Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Humboldt County is on track to record one of its deadliest years in history for vehicle fatalities, with Good’s death marking the 30th this year. On Friday, November 24 2017, at approximately 1803 hours, 33 year old Dena Lara of Blue Lake, CA was driving her 2012 Toyota Corolla northbound on SR-200 (North Bank Rd.), north of SR-299. Approximately 1/4 mile north of SR-299, Ms. Lara’s Corolla struck 43 year old Timothy Good of Mckinleyville, CA, who was walking along the
westboundeast roadway edge on North Bank Rd. CHP and emergency medical personnel responded to the scene. Mr. Good was subsequently transported to Mad River Community Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.CHP is continuing its investigation and impairment is not believed to have been a factor. There is no room on north bank road for peds…..all state agencies know this as fact……but yet…….the state and feds give locals money for terrible scams……like a 125k grant for dumbshits in McKinleyville to “practice, talk about how to be a pedestrian”……of course, most of the 125k fills some employee wage which is enabling these jackass grants into fruition…….ALL FIVE COUNTY ELECTED supes are mum…..
125k should all go to on ground improvements…….as it is, a fund should be created such that every death, injury where a sidewalk would have most likely resulted in no deaths, no injuries…….THEN CONSTRUCT THE GOD DAMNED SIDEWALKS…..Humboldt is degrading into a toxic waste land of bullshit politics, social ineptitude, and flat out a culture of more and more pathetic twits and liars……
