“Both males are Humboldt County residents and received critical injuries during the incident,” the release states. “This is an active, on-going investigation and no additional details will be released at this time

We, Luis Pinel and Arlette Zelaya-Pinel, Louies parents beg all who know more about what happened the night he was killed, its details and root causes of this fight, to inform the authorities so, His death doesnt go to waste but serve the purpose he was trying to defend.
We dont support the violent way this fight took place in any fashion but we support what he was fighting against.
We beg anyone who saw and/or heard what happened or even better took a video of it including, when Louie was stabbed and NOT only of what he did, to please, share that info with the authorities. Currently, theres only one of what he did but NOT of what was done to him.
Our son had a great heart incapable of hurting someone unless it was in self defense, he was known in his new town, Humboldt as someone who helped so many people. He not only helped people in need but made them feel like family. The same way he was helped and made felt like when he first arrived to Humboldt, from Avon, CT.
Thank you in advance to all who would do right for Louie.
Luis and Arlette Pinel
