Just a friendly reminder for when you go to bed tonight: It’s once again time to set the clock ahead one hour with daylight saving starting at 2 a.m. Sunday.

As we all know, this is also an excellent time to make sure those batteries are working properly in your home’s smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. And, remember that one hour difference can make people tired, so be extra careful on the roads in the days after the change.

While California voters did overwhelmingly support Proposition 7 in 2018, allowing state legislators to change daylight saving time with a two-thirds vote, that has yet to happen and it would still be subject to approval by the federal government. In the meantime, get ready to spring ahead.
