The Eureka Police Department is releasing quarterly crime reports of data and trends in order to, as an EPD news release says, “drive a greater awareness of crime and demonstrate [the department’s] desire to work with the community.”

Here’s the latest data:

Some of the trends noted by the EPD, between January 2013 and June 2014, include a slight downward trend overall in property crime and also a “steady downward trend” in violent crime.
