A bicyclist was reportedly killed in a crash on Broadway at West Wabash in Eureka this morning, according to reports over the scanner.

The bicyclist collided with a white van at about 10:45 a.m. The victim was partially under the vehicle when the first officer arrived on scene, according to the officer’s report over the scanner.

The officer asked for an ambulance and said the bicyclist had major injuries and then called for a coroner. According to the scanner, this is a confirmed coroner’s case.

  1. And just a few miles away is a city doing just fine without the “free-market” fallacy of “the more big boxes, chain stores, drive-through’s, hotels, and motels…the better…”.

  2. I certainly hope this motorist realizes he is driving a lethal weapon and the book is thrown at him, ie manslaughter.
