Ron was born in Eureka, California, on Sept. 17, 1953. He passed on Jan. 16, 2025, in Santa Rosa, California.
Ron spent his early years in Blocksburg and Fortuna, California, with his parents Willard and Shirley Slagle, and siblings William (Bill) and Debra Slagle — AKA Loci Pluas.
The last 30 years of his life, Ron resided in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where he was employed in construction. These were happy years for Ron, where he made many friends and enjoyed the sun and sea. Swimming, fishing and sunshine were just outside his door.
Ron came home in June of 2024, and was living in Clearlake, California, until he became ill and passed away.
Ron leaves five children: Tasha Slagle, Justin Slagle, Ivan Slagle, Amber (Slagle) Courtemanche, Jasmine (Slagle) Grant, and grandchildren Kaitlyn Dooley, Ashlyn Johnson, Brandon Slagle and Ayrton Courtemanche.
A memorial service will be held at Ferndale Cemetery on May 31, 2025 at 1:30 p.m.
He will be dearly missed.
