It was common to see her walking her dog in the neighborhood and would visit along the way. She was a long-time member of the Humboldt Historical Society and the Ferndale Museum.

Lynn is survived by her son, Brian Smith and his wife Lisa of Millville; her cousins, Dorene Pedrotti of Ferndale; Ed Renner of Ukiah; and Deborah Rutter of Santa Rosa. Lisa’s parents, Dave and Jenny Turner of Shingletown. She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Leah Kausen; her aunts, Doris Renner and Phyllis Dont. To honor her request no services will be held. Arrangements are under the care of Allen and Dahl of Palo Cedro. Interment will take place at the Ferndale Cemetery.
