Editor:
I’m happy to support Evan Schwartz to be the next Fifth District county supervisor.
Evan is thoughtful and honest, a good listener and community oriented. He has no personal or political agenda in holding a public position. For 10 years, he and his wife ran a natural food grocery on Central Avenue in McKinleyville, as well as a regional beverage distribution company. A graduate of HSU in 2008 with a business degree, Evan knows how to manage money and knows the role and challenges of government regulation. He’s not a partisan, and supports laws and rules that are fairly applied. With children in public school, he understands family life in our district.
The board of supervisors has become somewhat isolated from the public and quite quarrelsome, leaving the public the real losers. Electing Evan Schwartz will be a breath of fresh air.
