Editor:
I’m an Oregon landlord visiting and came upon your article, “A Home, Lost” (Nov. 22). It struck me as missing a fairly important element. I re-read it replacing “marijuana grow” with “Down Syndrome,” then “Mexican” and finally “Catholic.” Ah, now the article seemed more complete, although it does paint Ms. Cline as the problem with these substitutes. If this was Oregon, I’d say Mr. Lawrence did the right thing chasing Ms. Cline out of the community. Marijuana is medicine. Mr. Lawrence breaks the law by even asking. The acid test is substituting any protected class. Yeah, I can imagine the Clines not wanting to raise their girls around a gay/lesbian couple as well.

when was last time you had a gay or lesbian couple spontaneously combust from faulty wiring which could not be tested for code standards because they were stealing elictricity to cover massive over-usage?
Yeah…and when was the last time you tried to enjoy time in your backyard with friends and gagged over the smell?
