Editor:

Your article on the Humboldt County Planning Commission was mostly on-point and well received (“Hot Seats,” Jan. 27). A few points need clarification, though.

My comment was intended to convey that my priorities are to protect this region and our property rights and civil liberties. Had I not lost the cell connection, I would have continued, “It is very important that as individuals and a community it is our duty and responsibility to be kind to each other as we work hard on our turbulent issues, general plan included.”

I do find it odd/funny/confusing when people, even journalists, try to categorize me or assign me loyalties. I find beauty and value in all sectors of my community.

  1. “Especially a man’s right to build sprawl and big boxes on his land, and a pig farm next to mine”.
