Every week, a depressing lead story! I moved to Humboldt County because of the beautiful scenery, pleasant climate, access to the outdoors, inspired art community and educational opportunities. But according to your publication’s cover stories, I now live in a place rife with crime, corruption, pot cultivation, drug addiction and homelessness! You might occasionally run a lead story that reinforces my decision to move here in a positive way! I’m sure there must be something good to talk about!

Poor baby.
Reality just too much for you?
Just want happy, happy, happy stories? You missed your turnoff. Disneyland is to the south.
You and I must be reading different papers.
NCJ often has ‘lite’ and/or positive articles.
I find happiness in knowing at least one local publication is exposing some, just some of local corrupt politics(ians) (Ryan Sundburg), human manufactured environmental messes while also highlighting some folks creating some really positive, soul enriching actions.
Every day must be torture for you.
Get outside to enjoy and get recharged by any of the activities you mentioned.
Take a hike.
