Re: “Just Asking” (Mailbox, April 2), in which Dick Bruce wonders if there are any candidates for governor other than that one billionaire, I have an answer: YES!
Dr. Butch Ware is the Green Party candidate for governor. He is for real affordable housing (not handouts to developers), universal healthcare (what do insurance companies do for us, exactly?), and free higher education for everyone (did you know college used to be free in California?). His campaign is 100 percent people-powered and takes no corporate donations. Who funds you, runs you, and Butch Ware is run by the People.
Butch Ware scares the Democrat establishment so much they are trying to keep him off the ballot with dirty tricks, but don’t worry! No matter what, we will be able to vote for Butch Ware in the primary election on June 2, 2026. Mark your calendars!
