Per the April 2 NCJ issue …

1) To Sherman Schapiro (Mailbox, “A Question”): No, President Trump does not know how to say, “Thank you.” He knows how to hear you say it.

2) To Dennis Whitcomb (Mailbox, “Gravity of the Moment”): I think Sen. Schiff is doing what he can, but it would take Republican leaders to step forward to urge Trump to step down. Not likely.

3) There’s a book worth reading entitled Stay Alive: Berlin, 1939-1945, by Ian Buruma — where the underlying message is that indifference, then (as now), is what permits tyrants to succeed. Clearly, we have an obligation to take action — in whatever form our talents take us, to put the spotlight where it belongs and keep it there until people wake up.

An afterthought … I wonder if Chief Justice John Roberts still thinks the unitary executive theory is the way to go.
