  1. Well there’s always DISH or DirectTV or even HULU or Apple TV. For internet, there are several local providers with prices competitive to AT&T or Suddenlink.

  2. Seriously, when I had Suddenlink and anyone would call me (from out of the local area code), somewhere in the switching network, the call could not come through. Suddenlink told me that I had to contact the tech dept. of the phone service of each person that tried to call me and instruct that service provider to update their routers. What a laugh.

  3. You have to pay to be a cable subscriber in order to have television at home. You have to watch commercials because the tv stations broadcasting the channels to the cable provider doesn’t get a cut of your monthly subscription. They make their income from selling airtime and airtime is sold on the premise that you’ll be watching the commercials. Just sayin…

  4. Help!! What are the other local service provides here? Not including suddenlink, at&t, dish or direct tv…

  5. Yikes! I’ll be moving soon and will need to signup for some internetz. So the question is then, assuming they all suck, who provides the best internet in Humboldt County?

  6. Ditto to the last comment, I am moving there next week and trying to figure out what company to get our internet and home phone through, but hearing not good things about all of them….

  7. Whatever you do, just don’t get sucked into AT&T’s mess. It has been a nightmare to deal with them – even to just pay my bill! Totally NOT user-friendly and NOT helpful customer service. Hopefully someone posts soon about some other provider that might be decent.
