A Virtual Humboldt Trails Summit is scheduled for June 6 to update residents about the progress being made on local trail projects, including the Humboldt Bay Trail, which will stretch from the southern edge of Eureka to Arcata.

State Sen. Mike McGuire will also join in the summit to discuss the status of the Great Redwood Trail, which is envisioned to one day meander 300 miles through some of the state’s most scenic landscapes from San Francisco Bay in Marin County to Humboldt Bay.

There will also be on location videos, including a groundbreaking for the Annie and Mary Trail to connect Arcata and Blue Lake, giving participants an up-close view of ongoing work.

The public is encouraged to send questions in advance to [email protected]. To participate in the 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. summit via Zoom, register here. It will also be available for viewing on Access Humboldt channel 12.
