An exceptionally large swell will bring very high surf to Northwest California beaches through Monday, with elevated surf continuing for much of the remainder of the week. Peak wave heights of 27-32 feet will arrive on late Sunday and will continue at these heights through Monday. With these conditions in place, people should stay off the rocks and jetties as large waves will crash over coastal features that may not normally get wet during smaller wave conditions. Don’t let the ocean fool you! Large waves can catch you off guard if you get to close to the water’s edge, and as always, never turn your back to the ocean!
Centerville Road, PM 4.6, at Centerville County Park, is closed until further notice, due to high surf and dangerous coastal conditions. Updates will be posted as they become available.
