In reading Thadeus Greenson’s COVID surge article in yesterday’s NCJ (NCJ Daily, Sept. 9), I note that he too found the startling statistic that the county keeps semi-hidden deep in its records:
“Since the first confirmed breakthrough case in February, one fully vaccinated resident has died of COVID-19 while 45 unvaccinated residents have died from the virus. The same time span has seen 31 fully vaccinated residents hospitalized with COVID-19 compared to 197 unvaccinated residents.”
Why the county does not publicize these statistics puzzles me.
These numbers need to be widely publicized if the unvaccinated are to be convinced to get the shot. I suggest a banner headline every week, if not on the front page at least on the page with the COVID coverage, with these (or the updated, current) statistics might just reduce some of the vaccine reluctance, thus getting us all a little closer to the end of this disastrous pandemic.

If over half a million US citizens dying from COVID-19 can’t persuade folks to get the jab, I don’t think publishing the statistics will do much if anything at all. However I do believe this is important information to have regularly updated and shown to the community.
I want to see the virus succeed.
Current world population is fast approaching 8 billion people. I don’t think reproduction or replacement is a problem. We’re far exceeding 1 birth per death ratio.
The real heros in this scamdemic are the ones who go out there daily and pick-up the Covid carnage scattered all over the streets. Could you imagine the mess if this didn’t happen daily. We would be tripping into these random Covids everywhere.
So, I conclude with a toast to Covid. Long live Covid… Hopefully it has an opportunity to finish what it started.
For the person who wrote the post concerning the population issue and tying it to co-vid it’s just two different issues to lump together. It’s important to come off as a reasonable person making a reasonable assessment of a situation and it seems that we as Americans are always are in the either/or argument. I agree with the second post if we knock these people over the heads iwth the numbers and facts and show over 600,000 people dead from the virus I don’t know what more a reasonable people can do. As for the argument of overpopulation that is happening in India and China but not here as we are at zero levels and have been for sometime.
In order for the truth to be believed it must be repeated.
It’s sadistic to claim population control must be cruel and painful.
In Scandinavian countries birth rates decline naturally when women have equal opportunities to living wage careers, affordable housing, university educations and a universal public healthcare system with full access to free abortions.
This humanitarian outlook would require our public officials and healthcare professionals to honor their Constitutional and hippocratic oaths, respectively.
The COVID vaccine phobia combined with a deadly privatized healthcare system is reducing hospital access for others with serious accidents and injuries.
