Holiday magic takes center stage this weekend with two jolly dance productions for all ages.
The Sundance Ballet Co. presents its 13th annual Nutcracker ballet at the Van Duzer
Theatre on Saturday, Dec. 20, at 2 and 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 21, at 2 p.m. ($25, $20 children, $20, $15 children advance). This classic production features guest artists Magdalena Horowitz and Gary Williams as the Sugar Plum Fairy and Cavalier, along with students and company members from the Dance Scene Studio. Meanwhile, Candy Cane Lane! from No Limits Dance Academy, an original holiday show, lights up the Eureka High School Auditorium on Saturday, Dec. 20, at 6 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 21, at 2 p.m. with colorful costumes, imaginative choreography and friendly seasonal cheer ($22+).
