Virginia Mae McDonald, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, in Ferndale, California, at the age of 89.
Born on November 18, 1935, in Lansing, Michigan, Virginia lived a life marked by deep devotion to her family, her faith, and her community. She enjoyed a long and respected career in banking, where she was known for her integrity, kindness, and quiet strength.
Virginia was the cherished wife of Jack McDonald, and a devoted mother to her daughter, Kym Anderson, and son, Jeffrey McDonald. She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Brian and Todd Renner, Kelly Chadbourne, and Brenden and Ryan McDonald — all of whom graced her life with love and joy, and in turn blessed her with many great-grandchildren.
A woman of faith and gentle spirit, Virginia found great joy in her church community, the simple pleasures of home, and the companionship of her beloved cat. She will be remembered for her warmth, grace, and enduring love for those closest to her.
A private service will be held to honor Virginia’s life. Her family invites you to remember her in quiet moments of love, faith, and togetherness — just as she lived each day.
