Is Trump a fascist? Fascism is an extreme right-wing authoritarian government, promoting nationalism and a government with no checks and balances, demands total societal control through a police state imposed gradually or by martial law suspending normal laws and ending freedom and democracy, leaving only dictator Donald and his corrupt appointees to rule our lives. We fought against that in WW II and thought we had won.
Since the formation of NATO, Europe has experienced the most peaceful time in its entire history. Putin has threatened Europe while it destroys Ukraine in an attempt to acquire it. Now that Trump has taken Venezuela, he has given the green light for China to take Taiwan. Trump’s ambition to claim Greenland, where we already have a military base, and lay claim to Canada, Cuba, Columbia and the rest of the western hemisphere can only mean war, death and destruction, leading to a clash of hemispheres that can only bring about WWIII. For any member of Congress to rationalize a different outcome by pointing out the small snapshots of events like deposing Maduro and ignoring the big picture will destroy our nation, democracy and send us back to the Stone Age. Albert Einstein famously said, “I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War VI will be fought with sticks and stones.” We live in a critical time with AI and Quantum computers that could cure all diseases and solve problems that have plagued humanity since our beginning or be used for evil, and those who lust for wealth and power, who promote hatred of others will bring us only suffering, death and the end of science.
