Just a week after Humboldt State University reported it is investigating an alleged hazing incident involving the softball team, the university is investigating another alleged hazing incident and possible violations of student and sports club codes of conduct involving the men's and women's rugby teams.

The teams have both been placed on interim suspensions while all club-related sports activities are postponed pending the results of the investigation by the HSU Office of Dean of Students.

"Hazing is both illegal and violates HSU’s student and competitive sports club codes of conduct. HSU takes issues of hazing very seriously and the welfare of students is the priority at this time," reads the school's press release.

Due to privacy laws, the details of the investigation will not be made public.
