December's 'Cold Full Moon' of 2020

The last full moon of 2020 — known by a host of descriptive names — will officially debut in the sky on Tuesday.
But, according to NASA, the moon will play a starring role for not just one night but three, appearing to be full Monday evening through to Thursday morning.
Called the Cold Moon, the Ice Moon, the Wolf Moon, among other monikers, it is also known as the Long Night Moon due to its arrival closest to the Winter Solstice and extended appearance.
“The Moon will be in the sky for a total of 15 hours 27 minutes, with 14 hours 31 minutes of this when the Sun is down, making Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning, Dec. 29 to Dec. 30, 2020, the longest full Moon night of the year, according to NASA, which notes that it will be appearing opposite the sun and therefore will appear even higher in the sky.
