The National Weather Service office in Eureka is advising residents about a "Moderate Heat Risk" for tomorrow. The NWS website states, "Unusually warm temperatures for the coastal areas are expected Monday with high temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s."
For inland areas, temperatures in the mid-90s to the lower 100s are forecast for this afternoon and Monday.
Residents are reminded to stay hydrated, dress for the heat, limit time outdoors and check on the elderly, children and pets.
