Fortuna Rodeo Canceled Amid COVID

The Fortuna Rodeo Association announced today that the annual event has been canceled this year.
"A lot of time and effort was put in with the hopes of having the rodeo this year," the news release from association President Shannon McWhorter states. "Unfortunately, the current conditions make it unrealistic to hold even a drastically paired down event."
The release thanks the community for its support and encouragement and promises a "bigger and better" event will be back next year to celebrate the rodeo's 100th anniversary.
