Pull Up for Library Curbside

Posted By on Thu, Jun 4, 2020 at 11:35 AM

Rejoice, bookworms. While we still can't traipse through the stacks during this stage of shelter in place, libraries throughout the county are offering curbside service. All you need to do is call or go online to place a hold on your books, then head to the library and call the number on the sign outside and wait in your car (or the curb if you're not driving). Then a a staffer will run them out to you, saving you from spinning alone in the hamster wheel of your own head.

Obviously, you're going to wear a mask and stay back 6 feet from these blessed bringers of distraction and instruction. The check-out time is the usual and you can return your borrowed books in the drop box. And while you're at it, you might ask about the library's Anti-Racism Reading Guide, which it posted to Facebook and includes curated book lists for adults, teens and kids.
